Chanel No.

5 bottles that were my grandmother’s that I keep on my dresser to remind me of her.
She’d take us to the pharmacy every few months when she stocked up.
It’s a really great, classic cream, and I’ve used it lots over the years.

She said something like, This will look good on you, and that was that.
That’s real love.
With notes of verbena, rose, patchouli, and sandalwood, its a gorgeously grounding perfume.

It was, and is, her absolute favorite.

What I loved most about those trips was how matter-of-fact she was about beauty products.
My mom discovered AG Care on one of her frequent trips to Ulta and got really into the brand.
It has such a clean and fresh smell, and it would leave her skin literally shimmering.

I use it whenever I get out the shower, especially on places where I might sweat.
It helps absorb the moisture and leaves me looking (and feeling) sparkly.

Translation: We don’t really share lipsticks.
I still get nostalgic when I smell it.
