The mother was arraigned on the charge of criminal abortion by means of abortion-inducing drugs,NOLA.comreported.
Her next court appearance for a pretrial hearing is scheduled for May 5.
The indictment against her states that she knowingly did cause an abortion to occur on April 5, 2024.
