Robert Wilson/STARZ
And so Roger and Buck traveled back in time while Bree stayed with Mandy.
Says Davis: The second half…takes it up a notch.
Just fucking try me, or was I hearing things?

Robert Wilson/STARZ
Maril Davis:Yes.
She’s a badassdon’t mess with Claire.
I mean, it’s like: Claire, Action Hero.

Robert Wilson/STARZ
Well, it was fantastic, and I loved that she was able to rescue Jamie this time.
Tell me the reasoning behind that.
Yeah, it’s always a little tricky when you have two completely separate storylines.

Starz
Sometimes we do kind of move things around once we get to editing.
It felt stronger to have it kind of more condensed.
How much does the search for Jem differ from whats in the book?

Robert Wilson/STARZ
That storyline is pretty similar.
I mean, we’re not going to just drop that there and not pay that off.
So I think you will see what that means and how that comes about in the second half.
And how soon into the second half do we get a resolution on Jem’s whereabouts?
What was it like to bring that battle scene to life?
We’re noGame of Thronesin that we can’t spend six weeks on a battle sequence.
It actually was much larger.
But once again, we kind of know what we can do and what we do best.
There’s quite a bit still to come.
And I think that notches up the pressure on all of her characters to a delicious level.
So lets talk about those next eight episodes.
When in 2024 are they coming?
I’m not allowed to say, but I hope it won’t be too long.
Do you know what I mean?
We then get to talk about it longer.
Whenever the second half premieres, what new characters might be introduced?
And what about a possible return for Marsali and Fergus?
They’re so good and they add to the tension of the second half of the season as well.
Had all the scripts been written?
We were in the writers room for season eight andthe prequel.
We were just finishing up season seven in postproduction.
Actually, we’re still not quite done, so we still have a little bit to do there.
But I want everyonethe writers and actorsto get what they want.
I want people to be able to get back to work.
