Caleb McLaughlin:Stranger Thingshas been a big part of my life.
I’ve been able to travel the world and meet lots of different people.
It’s given me opportunities to be in films likeShooting Starsand to meet my idols.

Its had a big impact on my life and where I want to be in my career.
Tell me something I dont know about your first time reading theShooting Starscript.
The [draw to the project] was LeBron James being a part of a story.
He’s one of the greatest of all time, so it was a no-brainer.
But as an actor, you want to ensure you’re part of a good production team too.
Plus, I already worked with him forThe New Edition Storyand they gave it to the right person.
I said sign me up.
I have got to do this.
What was the audition process like?
I did multiple self-taped auditions.
Then I did a chemistry read in LA with the guys.
But not only did I have to read lines, I had to do a basketball test as well.
They didn’t want actors that didnt know how to hoop.
So I went out there and really hooped.
That he’s the rizz god.
He has all this swag thats out of this world.
He’s the best.
Wood is a super-down-to-earth, grounded dude.
He’s one of the GOATs of the industry and he’s doing his thing right now.
He’s a student and teacher of the industry and his craft.
Is there any advice that hes given thats stuck with you?
There have been so many different conversations that we have had.

I was in Paris when I was about 15, 16 years old.
I was on a press tour forStranger Things.
Fans were waiting outside our hotel all nightI think they even slept outside that night.
Tell me something I don’t know about your 2018 NAACP Image Awards win.
It was definitely an amazing moment that I had with my family, even for myself.
Accepting an award like that from the NAACP is a blessing.
So many thoughts were going through my head.
I was super nervous but very grateful.
