She really hasnt been to other European cities yet.
Will she be back?
However, Gabriel needs a redemption arc to make up for the lost ground this past season.
There has to be a catch with Marcello, as the law of the series would have it.
Or maybe yet another woman (yawn) will drive a wedge between Emily and the man she loves.
Or maybe his two sisters wont like Emily and will veto the relationship.
What about an important multi-year stint in Nepal to breed a special kind of cashmere goat?

Sounds dull, but thats probably the most realistic option.
