Any celebrity child of celebrities who is still struggling to answer the inevitable nepo baby question might take a cue from howGigi Hadid has been talking about her own privilege.

Her comment in a recentTimes of Londoninterviewwasnt necessarily the best nepo baby response Ive heard, but it wasfar from the worst.

Technically Im a nepotism baby, the supermodel told the newspaper, adding, My parents came from very little.

Hadid, who is the daughter of former model andReal Housewives of Beverly Hillsstar Yolanda Hadid, said, Ive always acknowledged that I come from privilege.

Hadids parents, she explained, always told her, Just because you have parents who were successful, it doesnt mean that you shouldnt walk into the job being as nice and as hard-working as you’ve got the option to be.

She added, I dont think Im the prettiest person in the world, and that she could probably do with some Botox.

It’s also not the first time that Hadid has given a better-than-average response to questions of nepotism in the entertainment industry.

There are so many girls who come [from] all over the world and work their arses off and send money home to their families like my mother did, she said in a 2018 interviewwithVogueAustralia,And I wanted to stand next to them backstage and for them to look at me and respect me and to know that its never about me trying to overshadow or take their place.

While Gigi Hadid has been open about being a nepo baby since before nepo baby was a thing, herequally famous sister, Bella Hadid, has had less to say on the subject.

But maybe we can just give her the benefit of the doubt for now and assume shes following her big sisters lead here.
