Call Paltrow what you want, but there’s no denying the 51-year-old is consistent.

Again, ifPaltrow’s personais anything, it’s consistent, which she fully acknowledges.

It would not be aligned with my aesthetic.

Paltrow’s aesthetic, of course, is unmistakable.

Glamour: What inspired the decision to launch Good.Clean.Goop at Target?

Good.clean.goop The Daily Juice Cleanser

Gwyneth Paltrow:We actually started ideating this a long time ago.

It was eight or nine years ago, when we were first talking about theGoop Beauty line.

We talked very quickly thereafter about something like this, a diffusion line.

Goop GOOPGENES All-In-One Super Nutrient Face Oil

There really wasn’t very much.

This was after Who What Wear was starting to do their Target line, etc.

What are your desert island beauty or wellness products that you cant live without?

Athletic Greens Ultimate Daily

I’m gonna go with The Daily Juice Cleanser from Good.Clean.Goop.

It’s my obsession.

Then our All in One Goop Genes Face Oil from the main Goop Beauty line.

I can’t live without that.

If so, what was it?

When I was about 19, I was up forLegends of the Fall.

I was 19 or 20 years old.

I auditioned a bunch of times but didn’t get the part.

Did a movie ever want you to change your look completely?

How did you handle that?

I’ve usually just kind of gone with it.

I did a movie calledBouncewhere they wanted me to dye my hair brown, so I did that.

But you know, to be honest, after that I felt a little gun-shy about it.

For[Iron Man’s] Pepper Pottsthey wanted me to cut my hair and dye it red.

And at that point, I said, I think a wig will be just fine.

Speaking of age, theres so much pressure on women to age the right way.

Either theyre not doing enough to conceal their age or theyre doing too much.

How do you tune out the noise?

I just follow my own path.

I’m that throw in of person.

I don’t think people should judge women in general for that kind of thing.

Sometimes people say to me, Oh my gosh, so-and-so looks overdone.

I’m like, But if she’s happy with that, then that’s great!

There’s no need to be negative about another choice that a woman makes.

For me, my face doesn’t really lend itself to doing a whole bunch of stuff.

I’ve always been kind of a tomboy and had freckles; I have sun damage.

But at this point it would not be aligned with my aesthetic to do a whole bunch of stuff.

Having said that, I do want to age as beautifully as I can.

I’m not afraid of wrinkles.

I’m not afraid of the those things that come with aging, I’m really not.

Finally, what’s the one piece of advice you would give your younger self?

I spent so much time trying to approximate what I thought I wassupposedto be.

That really impeded my development.

I wish I had just been abjectly who I was from the time I was 21.
