I was drenching myself in it.

Glamour:Obviously hair and makeup have been a big part of your acting roles.
Have those experiences changed your relationship with beauty at all?
Lily James:It really has.
It’s interesting being an actor because you get to transform all the time and take on different roles.
Often you hold a bit of them with you, whether purposefully or by accident.
Particularly when I just played Pamela Anderson, it was like a four-hour transformation in the makeup chair.
I definitely learned that beauty is confidence.
You really want do what you’re free to with your makeup that enhances that confidence.

I love that about Charlotte, she’s not too narrow in her vision.
I definitely think I’m more playful now thanks to the roles I’ve played.

My natural texture of my hair is quite curly, so if you brush it, it goes frizzy.

Do you remember the first beauty product you ever used?
I think probably mascara was the first thing.
When I was a teenager, I just layered on mascara.
I remember I used to have it all over my eyelids the whole time.
It was just a mess and heavy.
But I remember getting perfumes really young from my grandmother.
But I’d still keep them.
I’m such a hoarder.
What has been your biggest beauty fail?
When I was a teenager, I used to use concealer.
It was a terrible trend, that one was bad.
Although now we have amazing nude lipstick, so it’s not a million miles from that.
Is there a city or country that gives you the greatest beauty inspiration?
I just shot a film in Rome and spent a few months in Italy.
Obviously it’s just the romance and the beauty of the place.
If you could use only three products for the rest of your life, what are they and why?
My three products would 100% be Magic Cream.
I just love it.
I can’t get enough of it.
It smells so good too.
I would also have a brow brush, just to brush out my brows.
It’s hard to take only three, let’s be honest.
What colors are you loving on your nails right now?
Well,Michelle Classdid my nails today; she’s amazing.
And she did this incredible sparkly French manicure tip, which I love.
But I love browns and dark colors on my nails.
I have to say, I’m always a nude.
What’s your go-to getting ready music?
That’s a good one.
Any Whitney, but I also love Khruangbin.
And one of them is Khruangbin.
Do you spend a lot of time getting ready?
How much time does it take you?
I can do my makeup really fast.
I can do my makeup in 10 minutes.
So I can do my makeup really fast.
The one thing I do take a lot of time on is the skin care.
When you’re using these lovely-smelling products, it feels like a beautiful indulgent time just for yourself.
So I have a long bath, I love using theSuperfusion Oil.
I have it here, the collagen oil, and it smells so good.
it’s possible for you to mix it with a moisturizer.
I drop it in my bath and have a really long bath and it’s seeping in my skin.
You feel really confident and it makes the night fun.
What is your favorite way to take a moment for yourself?
I like to go on walks.
What is your power perfume and why?
I am obsessed with scents.
Like, I wear different smells for different characters.
It’s really central for me and it evokes such strong memories.
I attach different scents to different feelings.

Whats the latest Instagram rabbit hole you went down?
I went down, well, there’s two.
Have you seen the video of the little boy singing Bob Marley?
I was on my second-to-last day filming.
I was in Louisiana and I was really homesick.
I was so tired but I got up.
You shouldn’t check Instagram first thing in the morning, bad habit, but I was doing it.
And I saw that on my friend’s story and I just watched it seven times in a row.
I kept it on while I was brushing my teeth.
Any video of someone falling over, so good.

My favorite emoji is the woman with her hands on her head.

Oh, I’m an idiot.
I’m a moron.
Who are the women who inspire you the most right now?
The women that inspire me the most just never really changes.
But for me, both my grandmothers.
My grandma was an American actress.
She was so glamorous.
This is so her, the Hollywood highlighter, she was in all the movies of that time.
She’s just a huge inspiration to me.
She was just fit and vibrant and right into her 90s, mid-90s.
So yeah, I just love both my grandparents and my mom.
