Sean Garette is not a regular estheticianhes acoolesthetician.

Instagram@seangarette
Garettes grounded approach to skin care made him a trusted skinfluencer to his 120,000 social media followers.
When I was younger, it was all about stripping, drying, mattifying.
Running his own business, Garette knows a thing or two about being busy.

I never wear makeup in normal life, he says.
Garette is also not afraid to admit that he sometimes skips his routine altogether.
I say Im the most hypocritical esthetician ever because Ive definitely slept in makeup, he says.

I have those times where I dont do anything and face-plant in bed.
I always pay for it after.
Luckily, hes mastered a skin-hangover cure.

My cleanser
I cycle through two or three cleansers.
I love the Tatcha Rice Wash Cleanser.
Its creamy; it foams up.

It lathers really well, is super hydrating.
Exfoliates a little bit, but not a lot.
I love the new Dior La Mousse Off/On Foaming Face Cleanser too.

It helps remove makeup but also nourishes the skin.
Its super calming, super hydrating.
I even put my acne and oily clients on it.

Paulas Choice Calming Toner
Dermstore
My essence
I love the SK-II Pitera Essence.
Theres so many I’ve tried that I love, but I always go back to SK-II.

My serums
Im obviously obsessed with Dior Capture La Totale Serum.

I feel like when I say that, people do not believe me.
Antiaging is a big thing for me, but I use Capture for a different reason.
Thats exactly what Capture is.

It has all of those things that I love in different serums in a very moisturizing base.
And it really does help plump and firm your skin.

My eye cream
I just became obsessed with eye creams.

I used to think eye creams were a scam.
But when you find the right one, you never go back.
I love the SkinBetter Alpha Ret Eye Cream.

A notch down from that would be the Dior Capture Totale eye serum.
And its an eye serum so it sinks in.
I love how it plumps my undereye.

I really love that one.
I also really love the Caudalie Premier Cru one.
Its nice as well.

If you have dry, mature, dehydrated skin, you have to have that cream.
If you have oily skin, its a little bit too rich for you.
It has a very interesting texture.

It almost feels like a cleansing balm.
If you have very sensitive skin too, its unscented.
And then the Natarium Plant Ceramide Creamthats one of my favorites.

They fit my big-ass face so well and dont move, which I love.
When Im having breakouts, I always go back to the Peter Thomas Roth Sulfur Mask.
Ive been talking about it since the beginning of my career.

Sulfur has been an ingredient thats always incorporated in my acne clients routines.
Its a really good mask to have in your arsenal, especially if youre someone who shaves.
I have all of my male clients on that mask.

Everybody knows Paulas Choice has the longest names, but thats the best benzoyl peroxide Ive ever tried.
It has a moisturizing base because it has lactic acid in it as well.
Its expensive, though, so the Naturium Retinol Serum is a little bit more affordable.

Those are the only ones over the counter that have worked for me.
I love the Youth to the People Super Berry Oil.
Thats one of my favorites.

The Sisley Black Rose Precious Oil is so expensive, but so good.
I love something simple, like the Caudalie Grape Water Mist or Avene.
Just a mineral hydrating spray, which is a very French way to add hydration.

Anyone who hates sunscreen will love this one.
It literally feels like water.
Super thin, super lightweight.

The Supergoop Superscreen is one of my favorite sunscreens too.
If you have dry skin, that one is perfect.
The new Krave Beauty Beet the Sun just recently relaunched, and its one of my favorites.

I love the system.
Its in a tube and super hydrating and dewy.
Its one of the first mineral sunscreens that I feel comfortable recommending to my clients of color.

Im very specific about the colors, though.
Only Beige or Rosewood.
At home I use the Current Body LED mask.

I fall asleep in it sometimes.
If my skin is irritated or inflamed, it calms inflammation within the night.
I love the Ziip microcurrent gadget and the Theraface by Therabody.

I use that in my Dior facials and on myself, especially the cryotherapy tool.
When I do my Dior facials, I like to put a hydrating sheet mask on after I exfoliate.
Ill add on the cryotherapy attachment mixed with the percussion therapy.

It also has an LED attachment so we can spot treat.
