Mellencamp was first diagnosed with brain tumors on February 11.
In her post Mellencamp revealed shed suffered debilitating headaches for several weeks before she was hospitalized on February 11.

Mellencamp underwent surgery on February 12.
In the Instagram Stories videos, Mellencamp was surrounded by loved ones, including fellowRHOBHstar Kyle Richards.
More tumors were found during her surgery.

Mellencamp confirms her cancer has progressed to stage 4.
Im fighting for my life, she said.

So theres so many different highs and lows.
She continued, I know people are trying to help but heart breaking for me to read.
Of course I know the chances but I truly believe with my whole heart.
I will beat this and watch my kids graduate.

Shes living under the same roof as her ex, Edwin Arroyave.
[It] wasnt really the time to be fighting over emails.
Hes been extremely kind and helping with the kids.
Thats made things a lot easier, she toldUs Weekly.
According to Mellencamp, he is staying in a guest room.
Its all the things that I loved about our marriage but without all the problems, she said.
Mellencamp says Arroyave completely changed after she got sick, calling their current friendship a silver lining."
Im so glad because it was so bad for a while.
I was like, How did this happen to me and my best friend of 16 years?
she said of their current closeness.
Weve always made each other laugh.
We always pushed each others buttons, and [that made] it fun.
And us not being able to have that for a long time was really sad and hard.

Mellencamp has been battling skin cancer for years.
This diagnosis comes years after the reality star shared she was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in October 2022.
They said I had another abnormal spot near my last one so they did a biopsy.
I got the call this morning: Stage 2 melanoma.
Mellencamp decided to share her journey to spread an important message.
I so badly wanted to blow this off, she wrote on October 11, 2022.
Never wearing sunscreen or getting my moles checked until I was 40 years old.
During the surgery they will also do a sentinel lymphoid biopsy.
Because with a PET scan they cant see if its spread to lymph nodes.
She revealed the surgeries were successful in early December.
